GAPI Madeira - Gabinete de Apoio à Promoção da Propriedade Industrial (Madeira Tecnopolo’s Industrial Property Promotion Help Desk) is a project that in it’s initial stages was part of the POE - Programa Operacional da Economia (Operational Program of the Economy) and has now become part of the Business Partnerships PRIME – Programa de Incentivos à Modernização da Economia  and involves INPI – National Institute of Industrial Property, as well as many other technological centres, business associations, science and technology parks and higher education teaching institutions.

GAPI Madeira is part of a national network of 22 help desks which cover distinct geographical areas and activity sectors with the aim of acting as links between the promoters and PI matters. Madeira Tecnopolo  is the entity responsible in Madeira for this Project and the Madeira Business Innovation Centre - CEIM  is the operational partner at a regional level.

GAPI Madeira aims to transmit information and promote awareness events that promote IP so as to reinforce competitiveness between regional companies, betting on differentiation.

GAPI Madeira carries out the following activities, amongst others:

1. organization and promotion of awareness events and distribution of information about IP
   
   
2. clarification of rules and prerequisites for the various types of IP (technical requirements, costs, administrative procedures
