In this context, the concept of INNOVATION is not necessarily synonymous of cutting-edge technology as it can apply to:

• technological applications (new Technologies, introduction or improvement of existing technology)
• products
• production processes
• marketing and commercialization
• management
  

The Madeiran Business Innovation Centre created the Prémio Madeira de Inovação Empresarial with the objective of stimulating, improving and supporting innovative business initiatives which consist in the creation and modernization of small and medium firms.

Deadline: Applications can be received at any point throughout the year and the frequency with which the prize will be awarded occurs at CEIM’s discretion.
