What exactly are the incubated firms?
The incubated firms are the firms that utilize the office incubation space that CEIM offers. These firms benefit from CEIM’s infrastructure, both in terms of the office space itself and the admin and consultancy services that CEIM extends to them.
CEIM offers a maximum of 3 years incubation time to each firm. Incubation can be granted due to one of the following situations: • A firm is awarded 1st prize in the Prémio Madeira de Inovação Empresarial – PMIE, in one of the three categories; • Entrance can be requested and granted under extraordinary circumstances (exceptional, specific situations), so long as it presents a strong innovative element and can justify why its incubation will be beneficial. Then, it must be approved by the Management Board;
What are the so-called “supported companies”?
They are companies that despite not being based within CEIM’s facilities (and therefore are not referred to as being incubated companies), solicit our help in promoting and divulging their products or events and which use our administrative services and benefit from our contacts network.
What are “virtual offices”?
They are companies, organizations or projects/individuals that are not physically based within CEIM’s facilities, but are considered to be virtually incubated at CEIM, benefiting from and gaining access to our administrative services and the use of CEIM’s fully equipped installations which aid them in their professional activities and meetings with clients/suppliers/collaborators.
